BISP, The Benazir Income Support Programhas recently launched a new initiative specifically aimed at the labor community in Sindh province. This initiative seeks to acknowledge the tireless efforts of the hardworking working class day and night and provide them vital financial assistance.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced the launch of the Mazdoor Card. After a comprehensive survey, these cards were distributed to 625,000 eligible laborers in Sindh province.

The PPP has continued its support for workers by introducing special cards. On Labor Day in 2022, the Sindh government introduced the Benazir Worker Card, which is accessible to all workers including employees.

PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari launched this program to tackle poverty in the country and reduce the impact of ongoing inflation on the working class.

The program was implemented in three different phases. In the initial phase, 625,000 industrial workers enrolled for the card. The second phase allowed previously unregistered workers to apply, while the third phase expanded the Benazir Worker Card to all eligible workers.

1. Maternity assistance.
2. Housing assistance.
3. Medical benefits.
4. Educational Scholarship.
